Adam," an exciting new book for children that written by him with
illustrations by the artist Necdet Yilmaz.
The book is targeted at youngsters aged 3 and over and is
about the story of a Muslim religious leader as he is attempting to make the
pilgrimage to Makkah, the holy city. Makkah.
The doll's companion wears traditional Islamic clothes

"A majority of the time religious figures can be
scary for children. Therefore, he's a young Imam experiencing various adventures
to get to Hajj," Shakoj explained.
"He lives in a diversified neighborhood, he plays
soccer, he makes his way across a broken bridge and has to deal with
crocodiles."
In the book, Imam Adam employs the five principles of
Islam to address issues. "It touches on things like charity and being kind to
the environment," Imam Adam stated.
"There's no fun way to teach Islam [right
now]," the man said as he recalled his conversations with his cousins who
were young while working on the novel.
"I presented the doll to them while I was working on
the product. I would go to Barnes and Noble and just show kids and moms the
doll and ask their opinions. It was really valuable feedback."
Although "Adventures of Imam Adam" is targeted
primarily at Muslims from America, Shakoj said he hopes that children of all
faiths will connect with Adam's journey and journey.
"Adam is a universal name, in the Islamic faith he's
the first man, just as he is in Judaism and Christianity," He said.
"I wanted to touch upon something that hopefully
could spark conversations among people of different faiths."
